Cyberpunk 2077: Night City triggers Nvidia’s RTX, new configs revealed

This week will not have been easy for those who follow the development of Cyberpunk 2077. Gameplay, behind the scenes, technical demos, music, Keanu Reeves, and even, among very lucky colleagues, new impressions.

Nvidia shared a video which dwells on what the graphics cards of the 30 series and what it can accomplish. In other words, Cyberpunk 2077 shows itself again on PC, with RTX On and DLSS well put forward, so that we have the impression that Night City will be more alive, more vibrant than ever on the Master Race side.

Because you never know, you might still decide to show yourself a new bike by the time it is released, and you might stumble upon RTX 3070 or 3080 by chance, next to a PS5. CD Projekt has updated its system requirements table. It reveals what your PC should have in the gut to give you beautiful reflections in different resolutions.

Cyberpunk 2077 is due out on December 10 on PS4, Xbox One, PC, Stadia.

Cyberpunk 2077 (Multi): new edition of Night City Wire highlights Keanu Reeves’ character

CD Projekt Red revealed a new trailer showing more about the elements of gameplay and the plot that will shape your character in Night City. The highlight is due to the countless possibilities that can guide you to make your name in the megalopolis.

But the main highlight was the character played by Hollywood star Keanu Reeves. The actor plays Johnny Silverhand, a key element in the Cyberpunk 2077 storyline that will be present for much of the campaign. Check out the following videos showing a little of Johnny’s story and behind the scenes of the production.

Finally, a section dedicated to the game’s soundtrack shows some of the production, which will include a mode for streamers that will avoid the famous copyright problems.

Cyberpunk 2077 will be released on December 10 for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One and Xbox Series X.

Cyberpunk 2077 (Multi): New Night City Wire Special shows about 9 minutes of the game running on XBO and XSX

CD Projekt RED has released a new Cyberpunk 2077 video . It shows a bit of the open world game running on the Xbox One X and Xbox Series X consoles (via backward compatibility). The action and adventure title is scheduled for release on December 10, with versions for PC (SteamGOG and Epic), PS4, XBO and Stadia. The title will also be compatible with PS5 and XSX at launch.

The gameplay video shows excerpts from one of the game’s missions. Cyberpunk 2077 tells the story of V, an outlaw mercenary equipped with several cyber improvements. In Night City, a megalopolis obsessed with power, glamor and biomodifications, your character seeks a unique implant that may be the key to immortality. It is worth mentioning that the company also intends to show soon how the game is running on PlayStation systems.

Cyberpunk 2077: Razer opens pre-orders for its special edition Viper Ultimate

Like the classic version, it is equipped with a Focus + optical sensor, with 20,000 dpi of sensitivity, 650 IPS and an accuracy of 99.6%. In fact the characteristics are identical to the basic version and only the appearance is different.

Path of Exile (Multi) has expansion postponed because of Cyberpunk 2077

The postponement of Cyberpunk 2077 to December 10 was a news that was received in a very negative way by those who are anxiously waiting for the RPG from CD Projekt Red. This postponement also caused inconvenience for Grinding Gear Games, developer of the free RPG Path of Exile.

Update 3.13 will bring an expected expansion of the title, and would be released on December 11, the day after the new RPG date of the Polish company. In order not to have to compete with such a long-awaited title, and knowing that many of the PoE players intend to play CP2077, Chris Wilson, CEO of Grinding Gear Games, published a note on the official Path of Exile website, explaining the fact.
Instead of providing the title expansion in December, an event should take place in the period, pushing the expected expansion for January 2021. The reception of the news was good by the game community.

Path of Exile is free to play and available for PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.

Cyberpunk 2077 officially postponed to December 10

With a delay of 21 days.

CD Projekt RED has officially postponed the release date for Cyberpunk 2077. Previously announced to arrive on the 19th of November, will now be on the 10th of December.

The same will be available for platforms, PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC via Steam , Epic Games Store and GOG and also Google Stadia. And shortly thereafter it will arrive for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series at a date yet to be announced.

See the company’s message below regarding this delay.

Hello everyone,

Today, we decided to postpone the release date of Cyberpunk 2077 by 21 days. The new release date is December 10.

There are probably a lot of emotions and questions in their heads, so first of all, accept our humble apologies.

The biggest challenge for us now is to launch the game in the current generation, next generation and PC at the same time, which requires that we prepare and test nine versions of it (Xbox One / X, compatibility with Xbox Series S / X, PlayStation 4 / Pro , compatibility with PlayStation 5, PC, Stadia) … while working at home. Since  Cyberpunk 2077  has evolved to almost be a next generation title somewhere along the way, we need to make sure that everything works well and that all versions work perfectly. We are aware that it may seem unreal when someone says that 21 days can make a difference in such a massive and complex game, but they really do.

Some of you may also be wondering what those words mean when we say that we won the golden master some time ago. Passing the certification, or “winning gold”, means that the game is ready, can be completed and contains all the content. But that does not mean that we stop working on it and raise the standard of quality. On the contrary, this is the time when many improvements are being made, which will be distributed through a Day O patch. This is the time period that we underestimated.

We feel that we have an incredible game in our hands and we are willing to make all the decisions, even the most difficult ones, if this results in a video game that you will fall in love with.

Sincerely,
Adam Badowski and Marcin Iwinski

Cyberpunk 2077 (Multi): new trailer highlights the different vehicle categories AND visual styles

During today’s Night City Wire (15), CD Projekt RED unveiled a video that highlights the visual styles that inspire Night City’s inhabitants, from the simplest clothes to the most sophisticated accessories. The styles are divided into four categories, namely: Kitsch, Entropism, Neomilitarism and Neokitsch. Each of them has its own characteristics, stories and references.

CD Projekt RED also unveiled a brand new trailer highlighting the different vehicle categories in the game. V will have different car and motorcycle options available to explore the entire Night City and each vehicle promises a varied experience. There will be cheap SUVs, luxury cars, sports cars, trucks, motorcycles among more than 40 models.

According to the developer of CD Projekt RED, the player will be able to buy cars and call them at any time, similar to Carpeado of The Witcher 3, but if he does not have the necessary money he can still steal vehicles for Night City. The metropolis will also feature unprecedented races, but they have not been detailed.

Although almost all vehicles have futuristic aesthetics, Keanu Reeves’ character Johnny Silverhand will have a 1977 Porsche 911 with some modifications. The company also revealed during the presentation that all the sound effects of the cars were recorded with real vehicles and with great attention to detail. A partnership was made with Arch Motorcycles, Keanu Reeves’ company (yes, he has a motorcycle company) to bring new models to the game.
Cyberpunk 2077 will be released on November 19 for PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One and Xbox Series X.

Cyberpunk 2077 will have a map included in the game’s physical copy

Cyberpunk 2077 will officially have a Night City map, which will be included with the physical copy of the game.

The map will show you the districts of the main hub of Cyberpunk 2077. You’ll be able to look at all the areas around it, in which very little has been seen.

The layout matches up well with the artwork below – note the solar panels in the foreground, and the island to the left out in the Pacific Ocean.

What remains to be seen is how much of Cyberpunk 2077 takes place beyond Night City – and perhaps beyond this map. While this may be an accurate look at Night City, there’s nothing to suggest this shows the boundaries of Cyberpunk 2077 itself.

The game is scheduled for November 19th, and it has now been confirmed that it is in Gold status. It was also confirmed that there will be no more postponements of the game.

Cyberpunk 2077 is just over a month out, releasing on Steam and GOG. CD Projekt Red came under fire last week after it emerged the studio would be crunching to make that date.

Cyberpunk 2077 Main Story Will Be Shorter Than Witcher 3

There’s one strain of thought that says a video game can never be too long, and that more is always better, but others are concerned that many story-based games are unnecessarily drawn out – often in an attempt to not seem like poor value for money.

That’s certainly not something you could say about The Witcher 3, but not only did many people complain its story was too long but, according to CD Projekt, a ‘tremendous’ number of players never completed it.

In a recent interview, senior quest designer Patrick Mills reveals that CD Projekt Red ‘got a lot of complaints’ about the length of The Witcher 3, lending to the decision to make Cyberpunk 2077 ‘slightly shorter’.

According to gamers, it would take a little over 50 hours to complete the Witcher 3 by just playing the story missions (most people take at least two or three times that) but without more specific information the only thing you can say about Cyberpunk 2077 is that it’ll presumably be less than 50 hours.

‘We want you to see the whole story. So, we did shorten the main story, but we have lots to do. And in terms of a completionist campaign, I just don’t have that number,’ said Mills, when asked how long a more typical playthrough might take.

After several delays Cyberpunk 2077 is due to be released on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC on 19 November, the same day as the PlayStation 5 in Europe.

Although the game will feature upgraded performance on the Xbox Series X/S and PlayStation 5 there won’t be any dedicated next gen versions until next year, although when they do arrive you’ll be able to upgrade for free.
