Guilty Gear: Strive (PS4 / PS5) will open beta between February 18th and 21st

Arc System Works announced that Guilty Gears: Strive  will have an open beta between February 18th and 21st on PlayStation platforms. Players who made a digital pre-purchase will have access to the beta from the 17th.

In the beta version, 13 playable characters will be available and will feature Versus Mode, Tutorial Mode, Training Mode and Network Mode. In addition, the company released some notes on the open beta:

  • The open beta can only be played during the stipulated period;
  • The content of the beta version will vary from the final product;
  • An internet connection is required even to play offline modes;
  • The save of the beta version will not be transferable to the final version of the game;
  • A PlayStation Plus subscription is not required to play multiplayer games.

Guilty Gears: Strive is scheduled for release on April 9, 2021 for PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4 and PC.

Guilty Gear: Strive (Multi): new trailer shows Anji Mito in action

Arc System Works has released a new trailer for Guilty Gear: Strive. It presents the gameplay of Anji Mito. The fighting game will be released for PC, PS4 and PS5 on April 9th. There will also be Deluxe and Ultimate editions on Sony consoles that will be available 3 days in advance.

Anji Mito has been present in Guilty Gear X, Guilty Gear XX and Guilty Gear Xrd Revelator. His fighting style is based on a traditional Japanese dance style called Mai, typified by his circular movements. Nobutoshi Canna gives voice to the character, who is one of the few survivors of Japan in the world of Guilty Gear.

He has a hot head and usually acts without thinking too much. Even though he is not the type to preach his values ​​to others, he openly demonstrates his distaste for things that are indefensible to his sense of justice.

The next trailer will be released in February and will highlight the last character, totaling a basic cast with 15 of them.

DNF Duel: fighting game based on Dungeon Fighter Online is announced

During an event in the South Korean game Dungeon Fighter Online (known there as Dungeon & Fighter), Nexon announced the fighting game DNF Duel. Based on the franchise, the title is being developed in partnership between Neople, Arc System Works and Eighting.

Dungeon Fighter Online is an online multiplayer action RPG with a 2D beat’em up style, being one of the most lucrative works of its kind. DNF Duel follows the visual style of Guilty Gear -Strive- and is being developed on the Unreal Engine. The released video shows a little of the playable characters in action. The game platforms and release date have not yet been announced.
